The Bridge Institute of Technology-OKUTAMA is nestled amid the lush wooded hills of Okutama. Housed in a renovated junior high school that shut down some years ago, it was established in 2017 to train up overseas IT engineers and is part of the OKUTAMA+ project, which aims to stimulate a global effort to address the issue of rural depopulation. This setting provides a free and unrestrained symbiosis that springs from the day-to-day efforts of the students as they strive to make their dreams a reality. Its distinctive vitality can be seen in the everyday lives of the students as they attend classes, spend time in their dormitories and eat lunch in the kitchen area. “Here” shows multicultural co-existence as it already is.
