The Ruby Myanmar Restaurant in Takadanobaba. In 1991, Kyaw Kyaw Soe, the owner, who was dedicated to the democratization movement, escaped from oppression by the military regime and came to Japan as a political refugee. Now, after having stayed in Japan for approximately 30 years, he is continuing activities to make living in Japan easier for people from his native Myanmar. In the restaurant he manages we found a community that looks a lot like a family wishing happiness for everyone. Making this documentary renewed our awareness of belonging to society and made us recognize once more the importance of people supporting one another. As people who live in the same society, what can we do to for others? In this video, Mr. Kyaw Kyaw Soe shows us one of the answers.
